If you’ve been diving in the southwest Florida area you have probably already met Capt. Pete, otherwise known as Peter Williamson.

Pete has been an avid scuba diver since the age of 12 but the obsession goes back even farther. “My father got his open water SCUBA certification when I was 6 years old”, Pete says, “This was the perfect age to get me hooked. A six year old boy’s dreams of the underwater world aren’t too far off. It really has been just as exciting as I imagined it would be.”

Pete has a strong background in the sport of scuba diving and in the diving industry. Capt Pete found the perfect part-time job when he was going to college on Florida’s east coast — working in a dive shop. He was hooked from the start and got involved in Dive Shop Management. He is an SDI, TDI & NAUI Instructor and holds a USCG 50 ton Masters License. “Capt. Pete’s is more than just a catchy name,” Pete jokes, “I had my own dive boat and have the Coast Guard license.”

It’s a natural progression for him to have his own dive shop in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area where he grew up.

“I want my customers, my friends, to have the most fun and best experience possible. We have the largest selection around and at the best prices,” Pete says, “But what really counts is the customer service. That’s me standing behind the counter, me personally diving with you, and my name on the door. I don’t forget that you’re here to enjoy this as much as I do.”

Capt. Pete has dived in nearly 20 different countries and has thousands of dives under his belt. Join him as he continues to explore new horizons and old favorites.
